Recipe for Filipino Katuray Salad:
•Katuray Blossoms
• Onion
•Tomato
•Pako/ Warabi/ Fern Tops
•Bagoong (fish paste)
~Cut Onions into strips and set aside
~ Dice some tomatoes and set aside
~ In a pot of boiling water soak Katuray Blossoms, Fern Tops *Bitter Mellon Leaves. One by one For 1-2 Minutes or until tender.
~ After boiling squeeze the water Katuray Blossoms, Fern Tops *Bitter Mellon Leaves and wash in cold water
~ Then ADD the Katuray Blossoms, Fern Tops *Bitter Mellon Leaves to the bowl of diced tomatoes, Slices onions and couple spoons of Bagoong (as much as you like) and lomi (mix and squeeze) everything in the bowl with your hands until you have a homogenous mixture.
~ Plate and enjoy!
