Waiāhole Homestead Farms:
Waiāhole Homestead Farmers main crop with in the different farms are Bananas ranging from the Apple Banana variety to Cooking Bananas “Saba”. Another main crop is the Hawaiian Tī Leaf, used in Lei making and traditional hula skirts and in Hawaiian cuisine, the “Laulau” is pork meat or fish wrapped in Taro leaves finally with Tī leaf then it is steamed for a couple hours
We also grow and sell a variety of Asian vegetables such as bitter melon, okra, string beans, kalabasa “West Indian Punpkin” and moringa. We also have Mangoes, Coconut, Santol or Cotton Fruit, Bread Fruit, Guava, Noni, Soursop, Jackfruit Calamansi/Citrus Trees and many different varieties of Tropical Hawaiian Flowers, Torch Gingers, and Heliconia!

In Waiāhole on a nice sunny relaxing day we can swim in the Waiahole Stream!
Bananas and Papayas are year long fruits. Mango season is from May to its peak in July. Avocados are from August to November. Our Filipino/ Asian vegetables supply during the summer such as okra when the weather is warmer and not as wet.
